Safari style: Twisted Roots’ new Africa-themed collection

A fashion label inspired by, and designed for travel? Why, this Dubai-born brand could literally be the ultimate go-to for wanderlust-ers like us! Twisted Roots, launched in 2014 by Emirati-Danish designer Latifa Al Gurg, draws inspiration from different cities and destinations, while each piece is designed to travel well – i.e: they pack small, are versatile and easy-to-wear, and look effortlessly chic, wherever in the world you are.

Their latest Savannah collection looks to Africa for inspo – as the name suggests – with a colour palette dominated by khaki, camel, and ivory, while the label’s signature minimalist, linear silhouettes are owed to the designer’s Scandinavian legacy. Natural, luxurious fabrics such as silk and cotton, and careful, clever detailing ensure draped, flattering fits. With everything from tops and trousers to dresses and jackets, all designed to work well together, you could put together your perfect capsule wardrobe with just a few pieces – and their timeless elegance will ensure they will last you for many journeys to come!

Twisted Roots is available at select boutiques and stores including Robinsons, Dubai, and Fenwick of Bond Street, London.
